I had an excellent stay at Classic Hostel on Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island). The hostel has a relaxed, welcoming vibe and is a great place to meet fellow travelers while still feeling comfortable and safe. A special mention - Goldie. His jolly, good-natured personality instantly makes you feel at home. He’s incredibly easy to talk to, always up for great conversations, and genuinely helpful—whether it’s travel tips, local recommendations, or just a friendly chat. The rooms were clean, the common areas were lively, and the overall atmosphere was positive and fun. It’s the kind of place where you come as a guest and leave feeling like part of a small community. Highly recommended for solo travelers and backpackers visiting Havelock Island. I’d happily stay here again!

Classic hostel is really good. Perfect for solo or a group of travellers. I stayed here for almost 2 weeks. The host Nishant was super friendly and his service is top quality. The common area ! Perfect chilling spot with the fastest internet on the island. There are fresh coconuts from his farm for us to drink and a super stocked kitchen. (The kitchen has a coffee grinder and french press!!) There are speakers to play music and a mini gym to make sure you get a brief workout in. The rooms ! The dorm are really good, spacious and fun to stay. Cleaned daily and has an AC The single room is super big and a group of 3 could also stay there. Food, laungry and everything else !! Nishant/Goldie has a great holely food service which is very reasonable Laundry service which is less and 24hours Coffee, tea and snacks always available in the kitchen. Quick brekky like peanut butter and bread, milk and cereals always available. Loved my stay at classic and would definitely stay again. Also would always recommend Goldies place!!

Great experience as a solo traveler from Europe. The hostel is clean and well-maintained (5-bed dorm). The common area is excellent, featuring a lot of space, including potential yoga space, a pull-up bar, and an open kitchen. They even provide free coconuts. The best part is the community and the owner, Goldie. He is very helpful and feels like a friend. During my 12-day stay, I met many great people. Goldie often took us on trips, like snorkeling at Radhanagar Beach far from the crowds. The local diving community gathers here too. We had BBQs, and Goldie’s family cooked fish for us that we bought at the local market nearby (10 min walk). As a remote worker, I found the space very suitable for working on my laptop. Highly recommended. Hope to see you again soon!

Stayed here with a group of friends for two nights and it was such a clean and well maintained property. Ample outdoor space to explore, play and most importantly CHILL! Goldie has the best insider recommendations around Havelock, all you have to do is ask!
Thanks Goldie for serving us a slice of that island life. Can't wait to be back for more!
